As a Senior Project Engineer (Relocation Assistance Available), you will work onsite in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, supporting the residential generator production line. You will lead SPD & VAVE projects and provide design support across product development, manufacturing, and compliance.
Responsibilities
Handle projects and tasks under the direction of the Sr. Engineering Manager SPD & PMO.
Provide ongoing design support for existing products, resolving design issues for customers, manufacturing, supply chain, and compliance.
Support design projects to meet cost‑reduction targets through Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) and sourcing strategy implementation.
Enhance manufacturing strategy, reducing downtime and improving assembly throughput.
Identify and evaluate alternatives, recommend evaluation methods and criteria, and assess short‑ and long‑term risks.
Assure functional acceptability using engineering tools, analysis, and testing.
Document specifications to meet product technical, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical guidance and design direction to CAD Analysts.
Act as a primary onsite engineer supporting the Hattiesburg, Mississippi residential generator production line.
Execute SPD & VAVE projects.
Report to the Sr. Engineering Manager SPD & PMO.
Communicate frequently with senior management, business units, product engineers, CAD analysts, lab technicians, manufacturing personnel, and service teams.
