Job Description: BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Structural Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to support the design and analysis of complex transportation structures while growing your technical skills under the guidance of senior engineers.
What You'll Be Doing:
Working under the supervision of a licensed engineer, analyze and prepare project designs, calculations and drawings for steel bridges; pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete bridges; cast-in-place flat slabs; and
Effectively apply pre‑established design templates
Approach tasks with an open mindset; propose innovative solutions to design problems
Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review by a licensed engineer
May track and provide initial review tasks of technicians or designers
Responsible for managing timely completion of multiple assigned tasks
Communicate effectively with team members and internal design groups; external communication as required on assigned tasks
Effectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings; may attend and contribute to presentations with external parties
Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns
Ensure timely completion of timesheets and expense reports
Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering
0+ years of related work experience
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Engineer Intern (EI) certificate
Security Clearance Requirement: None. This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
