Infosys is seeking a
Senior Mainframe developer
who has worked on Mainframe, Cobol, JCL, VSAM, DB2 (Stored procedures, Native SP, SQL). This position will primarily be responsible to interface with key stakeholders; applying technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating high-level design artifacts; deliver high-quality code deliverables for a module; lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; and contribute to a learning culture where teamwork, collaboration, excellence, and diversity are valued.
Required Qualifications
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of any of the mentioned locations (Hartford, CT; Richardson, TX; Tempe, AZ; Raleigh, NC; or Indianapolis, IN) or be willing to relocate. This position may require travel within the USA.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in lieu of every year of education.
At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
Experience working in Mainframe, Cobol, DB2, JCL, VSAM.
Experience working in DB2 (Stored procedures, Native SP, SQL).
Experience in COBOL, CICS, and DB2.

Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare Domain experience is preferred.
Strong analytical and design skills.
Ability to lead the activities related to requirements elicitation, creation and review of design, provide pseudocode to the team, assign and review tasks, and mentor individuals.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
