Financial Controller (Remote, EST hours required)
Frederick Fox is hiring a Controller to lead accounting for a profitable, privately held mid‑size company. This is the senior accounting leader in the business—owning the books, tightening controls, and using NetSuite for financial insights.
You’ll partner closely with the CFO and senior leadership to assist in taking the company to the next level.
What you will do
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring accurate, GAAP‑compliant financials and management reporting.
Serve as the NetSuite owner across GL, AP, AR, payroll, and revenue recognition—driving automation.
Build and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and audit readiness; manage external auditors and tax advisors.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with the CFO.
Deliver actionable insights through dashboards, KPIs, and trend analysis to support leadership decisions.
Hire, lead, and develop the accounting team—setting standards, accountability, and best practices.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
CPA strongly preferred .
~6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller or Assistant Controller experience in a private company.
Clear communicator who can translate financial detail into business‑level insight.
