About The Role

Provide formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approve subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Efficiently recommend same for subordinates to next level management for review and approval. Plan and supervise appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including outside of normal business hours. Prepare and deliver performance appraisal for staff. Mentor and coach team members to further develop competencies. Lead by example and act in a way that is consistent with the company's values. What you’ll do

Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel and technicians. Oversight of all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC and electrical issues and remain current with the latest HVAC technology trends. Maintain ongoing communication with tenants, clients, owners, facility management team and vendors. Assist in solicitation and acquisition of new management, maintenance/repair service contracts and coordinate development and maintenance of as-built drawings. Respond to all emergency situations quickly (fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) and customer concerns. Implement and coordinate inventory control programs and purchase parts and supplies. Establish and oversee programs to ensure compliance with applicable codes, requisitions, government agency and company directives as relates to building operations. What You’ll Need

Universal CFC/EPA certification required. Additional certification in three or more of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions. Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
