Applications Engineer

We are seeking an Applications Engineer to support the commercial expansion of MacDermid Alpha products into the Power Electronics market in the United States, with a primary focus on the USA, by assisting laboratory functions at our Piscataway, New Jersey facility.

Who are we looking for? What will you be doing?
Support product development: Collaborate with R&D scientists to ensure new products meet application requirements.
Conduct application testing: Perform lab and pilot-scale evaluations to validate product performance in customer-specific conditions.
Provide technical support: Assist customers and sales teams with product selection, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Develop application guidelines: Create technical documentation, best practices, and training materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing to align product capabilities with market needs.
Analyze performance data: Interpret test results and provide recommendations for product improvements or application enhancements.
Participate in customer trials: Support on-site evaluations and ensure successful implementation of solutions.
Stay current on industry trends: Monitor emerging technologies and application requirements to inform R&D priorities.

Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing performance data and preparing technical reports.
Communication Skills: Ability to create clear documentation and deliver presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
Project Management: Skilled in managing application projects and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with end-use markets such as electronics, coatings, adhesives, or polymers.
Education & Experience: Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field; prior experience in applications engineering or technical service preferred.
