Job Description:

Our J&J MedTech Electrophysiology Medical Affairs team is currently recruiting for a

Medical Affairs Manager

at the Irvine, California location. Fueled by innovation at the intersection of biology and technology, we are developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, and more personalized treatments for Cardiovascular conditions. You will join a proud heritage of continually elevating standards of care for stroke, heart failure, and atrial fibrillation (AFib) patients.

You will be responsible for supporting one or several product development projects within the JJMT EP product portfolio while fostering strong, productive relationships with colleagues across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

Executing the clinical strategy to support product characterization and design features as well as optimum clinical workflows for all products (catheters, 3D Mapping system and generator).

Developing and executing product and procedural protocols to inform procedure settings.

Providing support to Marketing, R&D, Quality Assurance/Risk Management/Product Safety and Commercial teams by providing scientific and technical insights to drive product development.

Staying up to date with current literature to inform the research strategy for evidence generation for new and existing products in order to support regulatory approval/clearance, health technology assessment, customer access and post‑marketing support.

Providing scientific and test method expertise during product and study design development.

Qualifications:

Education

BS with at least 8 years, MS with at least 6 years, PhD with at least 4 years of relevant experience with a degree in Biomedical, Computer Science, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, General Engineering, or Biological Sciences.

Experience

An understanding of cardiac anatomy and medical devices required.

Minimum of 5 years in pre‑clinical models (chronic models preferred).

Advanced technical writing skills required with an emphasis on organizing data and presenting findings; success in medical data generation, interpretation, and publications highly preferred.

Drive collaboration and maintain consistent, open lines of communication across the assigned responsibilities with MA management and the support team and other internal and external partners.

Proven working knowledge of catheter laboratory equipment and standard operating room procedures.

Strong project management skills with a demonstrable track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

Advance‑level computer skills and the ability to multitask without direct oversight of a manager.

Understanding of the dynamics of an EP lab, including physicians, nurses, and technicians.

Ability to prioritize and respond to requests in a high‑stress environment.

Effective communication skills and teamwork.

Valid driver’s license issued in the United States.

Willingness and ability to travel related to this role up to 40% overnight locally or otherwise.

Maintain advanced clinical knowledge of cardiac ablation and cardiac imaging, technical knowledge of EP technology, advancements, and the business landscape.

Base Pay Range:

$117,000.00 – $201,250.00

Additional pay transparency information: Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Time‑off benefits:

Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year.

Sick time – 40 hours per calendar year.

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – 13 days per calendar year.

Work, Personal and Family Time – up to 40 hours per calendar year.

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child.

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for a immediate family member; 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year.

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52‑week rolling period.

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year.
