Job Summary The Enterprise Project Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle management of complex, strategic projects focused on healthcare data exchange, interoperability standards implementation, clearinghouse operations, or other strategic goal projects. This role ensures the successful delivery of solutions that reduce healthcare costs, improve population health outcomes, and advance the organization's mission by managing projects related to data integration, regulatory compliance, and connectivity with clinical and payer partners.
Qualifications - Education, Experience and Skills Required qualifications
:
Four (4) to six (6) years of progressively responsible and directly related experience leading and managing complex enterprise-level data integration and technology implementation projects.
Preferred qualifications
:
Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent years of related work experience)
Proven experience managing projects within a healthcare technology environment.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or other relevant certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), CAHIMS, or CPHIMS).
Skills and Abilities
Expert knowledge of enterprise, program, and project management methodologies.
Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycles and Agile methodologies
Expert level proficiency with project management software tools.
Ability to work with a team to establish detailed project plans, managing multiple interdependent workstreams.
Stakeholder management, including negotiating priorities, translating technical requirements for business leaders, and presenting project status to executive stakeholders.
Ability to respond to sponsor questions regarding timelines, scope, budget, and status throughout the project.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
Lead the implementation of major enterprise initiatives, such as strategic plan priorities, onboarding new health system partners to the HIE or deploying new clearinghouse services, ensuring high quality and successful customer communication.
Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including scope, requirements specifications, standards, resource allocation plans, comprehensive risk management, communication plans.
Develop or update project plans for information technology or strategic projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
Develop and manage work breakdown structure (WBS) and critical path of projects.
Establish and execute a project communication plan.
Identify the need for initial or supplemental project resources. Negotiate with project stakeholders or suppliers to obtain resources or materials.
Coordinate with teams and finance to develop cost estimates for projects.
Develop implementation plans that include analyses such as cost-benefit or return on investment (ROI).
Include plans to assess current or future customer needs and priorities through tasks to communicate directly with customers, conducting surveys, or other methods.
Coordinate cross-functional teams (including product, integration engineers, developers, customer success, customer support, and marketing) and, where appropriate, external stakeholders.
Schedule and facilitate meetings related to information technology projects.
Monitor project milestones, track the progress of technical deliverables, and disseminate accurate, timely status reports to executive leadership and key external partners.
Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Initiate, review, or approve modifications to project plans.
Proactively manage project dependencies, anticipate implementation risks, and elevate critical issues (e.g., data security vulnerabilities or compliance roadblocks) to drive rapid resolution.
Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems.
Ensure all project outcomes comply with requirements specifications and standards and the company's internal security policies.
Management Responsibilities This position is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. However, the role involves significant supervisory responsibility for the project team members, including providing direction and oversight to multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.
