Salary: Up to $140,000 Travel: Up to 25% About the Role: As a Senior Controls Engineer with our client, you will be crucial in designing, developing, and implementing control systems to automate machinery and processes. This position requires a deep understanding of both control systems and the mechanical workings of large, fast-paced manufacturing machines. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems within existing infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Design and Development: Create and implement control systems for automated machinery and industrial processes. Collaboration: Work with project stakeholders to develop control strategies that meet project objectives. Programming: Program PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and other control devices using industry-standard languages. Testing and Commissioning: Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of control systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and safety. Troubleshooting: Resolve technical issues related to control systems, both independently and in collaboration with other engineering teams. Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, supporting their professional growth. Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives to drive continuous improvement in control systems and automation processes. Innovation: Stay updated on advancements in control system technologies and assess their applicability to ongoing projects. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all control system designs and implementations adhere to relevant regulatory standards and safety protocols. Immediate Benefits: Eligibility for benefits starts on your first day of employment. What We’re Looking For: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Controls Engineering or similar field. At least 5 years of experience in control systems engineering, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms) and HMI development. Strong understanding of control system theory, including PID control, motion control, and feedback mechanisms. Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc. Hands-on experience with hardware/software integration and troubleshooting. Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven leadership abilities and experience mentoring engineering teams. Familiarity with regulatory standards such as NEC, NFPA, ANSI, UL508A, etc. Willingness to travel up to 25% within the US and Canada. Why Join?
