Creative Financial Staffing is partnered with a nonprofit organization seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team.
About the Organization: Founded over 125 years ago, they are staying current in technology but staying true to their mission of connecting people with nature Their goal is to organize human travel and contribute to natural conservation Overseeing 4 employees, the Assistant Controller reports to the Controller and works closely with the CFO Responsibilities of the Assistant Controller: Oversee the month-end close process including reconciliations and journal entries
Assist with month-, quarter-, and year-end financial statements Track investments, endowment, and grant revenue recognition Manage post-award grants management Partner with IT for any process improvement or integrations Manage 4 employees including reviewing work, providing feedback, and providing coaching Support the annual audit
Background Expected of the Assistant Controller: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or experience equivalent (+4 years) 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role Experience in nonprofit accounting and grants management required CPA certification is a plus but not required
Salary range, depending on experience: $85,000 - 110,000
