Blackstone Finance is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President to lead the Private Equity Daily Pricing function for Blackstone’s leading private equity strategies for individual investors (BXPE and BXINFRA). This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborate across multiple teams, and drive critical processes that support Blackstone’s industry-leading investment platforms.
As a key member of the Finance team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily pricing operations and associated reporting; ensuring accuracy and delivering actionable insights to senior leadership and external stakeholders. This position is ideal for a candidate with strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills who thrives in a collaborative and detail-oriented environment.
Primary Responsibilities Leadership & Oversight
Lead the daily pricing workstream for BXPE and BXINFRA, including:
Reviewing and validating daily pricing feeds from Independent Valuation Advisors (IVAs).
Coordinating with IVAs to adapt the valuation model as the portfolio evolves.
Managing data flow between IVAs, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
Monitoring for material market and/or portfolio company events.
Assessing back-testing, price estimates versus actuals, and identifying key trends.
Presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
Assist in team management, providing mentorship and guidance to junior-level team members while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Act as a central point of coordination between Portfolio Valuation & Analytics, Investor Product Strategy, and other internal teams to ensure seamless data flow and reporting.
Build and maintain strong relationships with IVAs, external auditors, and other third-party stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Controls
Design and implement process enhancements to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Develop and maintain robust controls and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and Blackstone’s best practices.
Leverage technology and offshore resources to optimize workflows and reporting capabilities.
Reporting & Communication
Prepare and present pricing results to internal committees, external auditors, and other stakeholders.
Develop presentation materials to effectively communicate complex data and insights to leaders and external audiences.
Perform advanced data analytics to identify noteworthy trends and provide actionable recommendations.
Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting summaries of key pricing inputs and performance indicators for underlying funds.
Strategic Growth
This role will involve both the mentorship of others as well as individual contributions to the work, with a potential for greater managerial responsibilities based on performance and demonstrated leadership skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or similar discipline (CFA and/or CPA a plus)
10+ years of pricing, accounting or product controller experience in a hedge fund, private equity fund, bank, relevant consulting firm, or a similar environment
3+ years of experience managing a team of at least 2 individuals
Proven track record of working in a dynamic and challenging environment that requires execution of recurring deliverables as well as projects and initiatives in support of a rapidly growing business
Experience with regression models, quantitative models, or other advanced analytical techniques
Strong interpersonal skills, high EQ, and the skill to confidently and competently handle interactions with Portfolio Valuation & Analytics, deal professionals, Portfolio Management, and other internal / external stakeholders
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Confidence presenting to large groups of senior-level leaders
Multi-tasking and time-management skills
Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is required
Compensation Expected annual base salary range: $148,000 - $250,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
