Are you passionate about building scaling platforms to power millions of smart TVs from many leading global brands? Amazon’s Fire TV organization is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to join our team driving reference solutions and platform product-tech.

Key job responsibilities

Understand the needs and related trends for customers, TV partners, and offline consumer electronics retailers

Keep abreast with the technologies and trends related to TVs

Define the product strategy for the region accounting for customers, partner and business needs

Define the roadmap for TVs including TV line‑up, specifications, software features working backwards from customers, partners, industry and business needs

Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application

Work closely with engineering, program management, and QA teams to implement and deliver the product, on‑time and exceeding a high quality bar

Drive decisions across cross‑functional teams that include engineering, UX and commercial teams

Drive product launches in concert with Engineering, Go to Market, operations, PR and other teams

Work with TV partners on defining the product roadmap, product requirements

Understand business requirements and write product requirementss (BRDs/PRDs), strategy docs, and PRFAQs

Work with engineering and other tech teams to build the product and see them through launch

Work with go‑to‑market, business development, finance, PR and other internal teams on the launch of TVs

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, finance, or economics

3+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience

Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market

Experience working with customers, technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs

5+ years of product management experience

Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies

Knowledge of the semiconductor industry, processes, technologies and key suppliers

Compensation Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $236,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
