Role Overview Bishop & Company is partnering with our client, a provider of door-to-door logistics solutions, serving Hawaii and beyond to find their next

General Manager.

Our client delivers a full spectrum of transportation services—air, ocean, warehousing, and specialized delivery—connecting local businesses with the world.

Are you a strategic leader ready to drive operational excellence and growth across the Hawaiian Islands? As General Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of delivery and freight forwarding, reporting directly to executive leadership. This is a high-impact role for a competitive, entrepreneurial professional who thrives in fast‑paced environments and enjoys solving complex challenges independently.

Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Growth:

Shape and execute business strategies to expand market presence and sales across Hawaii.

Identify new shipping solutions and refine approaches based on industry trends and local market insights.

Operations Management:

Optimize delivery operations, including scheduling, routing, and fleet utilization for maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Oversee vehicle and equipment management, ensuring compliance and top performance.

Track and act on key performance indicators to achieve operational goals.

Own full P&L responsibility, driving revenue growth and cost efficiency.

Develop budgets, analyze financials, and implement controls to sustain profitability.

Business Development:

Build strong relationships with local businesses and stakeholders to drive sales and market share.

Deliver tailored logistics solutions and pursue new opportunities for client acquisition and retention.

Lead, train, and inspire a high‑performing team across operations and support functions.

Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and teamwork, while ensuring safety and professional growth.

Qualifications Required:

Proven experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or delivery management.

Demonstrated success in P&L management, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Strong leadership background managing diverse teams in dynamic settings.

Hands‑on expertise in fleet management, compliance, and maintenance.

Business development skills focused on sales growth and client relationships.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.

Familiarity with Hawaii’s logistics landscape and market dynamics.

Experience in high‑growth, fast‑paced operational environments.

Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive work style.

Strong problem‑solving and resourcefulness.

Compensation Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically

$140,000-$160,000 annually with bonus eligibility up to 10% . This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above‑stated range.
