Neurology Physician

Job Summary: The position is a clinical role focused on diagnosing, treating, and managing pediatric patients within a multidisciplinary environment. The physician will provide care for a mix of general and high‑acuity cases, supervise medical residents, and engage in teaching, research, and publishing opportunities.
Job Specific Duties
Apply knowledge of growth and development in patient care and treatment.
Continue self‑education through journals, CME, conference participation, etc.
Coordinate and deliver monthly in‑services for staff and resident development.
Coordinate follow‑up of tests, lab studies, and patient phone calls.
Provide direct clinical services: perform history and physical exams; interpret data; develop treatment plans; write orders; teach patients and parents; administer medications; order/perform diagnostic procedures as needed.
Make suggestions to the Department Director and attending staff for departmental improvement.
Participate in performance improvement, research, and publishing.
Teach and role‑model for medical students and residents.
Participate in the assigned call schedule.
Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school.
Current state medical license in good standing with the medical board.
American Heart Association BLS certification, maintained throughout employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Exceptional clinical, research, and teaching skills with a commitment to academic pediatrics.
Ability to relate cooperatively and constructively with patients, families, and colleagues.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Confidentiality of sensitive information.
Calm adaptation and reaction under stressful conditions.
Problem‑solving ability to formulate and evaluate patient care plans.
