Clinical Director – Behavioral Health (Residential)
Full‑time, permanent opportunity to provide clinical leadership within a residential behavioral health setting while partnering closely with executive leadership to ensure high‑quality, compliant, and compassionate care.
POSITION OVERVIEW The Clinical Director will oversee the clinical integrity, compliance, and effectiveness of residential behavioral health programs serving children. This role provides strategic and hands‑on leadership across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring services align with licensing, accreditation, and best‑practice standards. Reporting directly to the CEO, this leader will play a critical role in shaping treatment outcomes, staff development, and organizational excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide clinical leadership and oversight for residential behavioral health programs serving children
Supervise, mentor, and support managers, clinicians, and direct care staff across multidisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation, and regulatory standards, including child welfare and mental health requirements
Oversee clinical program design, implementation, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement
Partner with executive leadership and external agencies to support coordinated, ethical, and effective service delivery
Support staff training, performance management, and professional development aligned with best practices
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, child development, or a related field
Active and valid California LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist license (required)
Clinical experience within residential and/or child‑serving behavioral health settings
Supervisory experience leading clinical or multidisciplinary teams
Strong knowledge of DSM‑V, evidence‑based therapeutic interventions, and child protection systems
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position offers a salary range of $115,000–$130,000, depending on experience. Benefits are offered in alignment with the organization’s nonprofit structure and include paid time off, holidays, and additional benefits as provided by the employer.
