The store manager is responsible for leading all team members in the efficient and profitable operation of Ralph’s Coffee. They manage day‑to‑day store operations, maintain high store standards and conditions, and foster a positive environment that provides consistent fast, efficient, and friendly service, ensuring a Total Quality Experience for customers and team members. The store manager creates the tone and personality of the store by advocating training, customer service, product knowledge and education, encouraging safe work practices, and demonstrating a commitment to our Guiding Principles and House Rules.

Store Operations

Develops and executes sales and profit plans in line with budgetary goals.

Ensures profitability by growing sales and controlling costs of goods, inventory levels, labor, supplies, and expenses.

Maintains and utilizes daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting tools.

Ensures proper team member coverage and schedules according to business needs while maintaining target labor costs.

Oversees all cash and media management functions; performs POS duties, front and back‑of‑house functions, opening and closing procedures, and coordinates with Corporate Office as necessary.

Maintains proper loss‑prevention standards and reviews cash‑handling procedures, deposits, and safe procedures.

Maintains a clean, well‑merchandised store, following visual presentation plans and standards.

Plans, executes, and communicates all sales promotions and new product information effectively and efficiently.

Identifies staffing, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training needs; facilitates ongoing training and development of current staff.

Promotes and practices safe work habits, identifying and resolving potential safety hazards, operational inconsistencies, and any incidents involving team members or customers.

Service

Acts as the role model for outstanding service and the “owner” of the service initiative at the store.

Proactively solves customer problems and satisfies customers in various situations.

Ensures all team members commit to and demonstrate our Guiding Principles and House Rules.

Ensures all team members provide customers with efficient, friendly, superior service on a consistent basis.

Consistently monitors, coaches, and encourages team members to meet the Company’s service standards.

Assesses and provides adequate staffing to deliver efficient, friendly, superior service.

Maintains high cleanliness standards throughout the store, including appearance, merchandise, and equipment.

Product

Ensures all Company drink recipes and procedures are followed, maintaining the highest quality and consistent product standards.

Ensures all Company food offerings maintain the highest quality.

Samples drinks and food products on a shift basis for quality assurance.

Training & Development

Provides ongoing training and development to all team members in operating standards, customer service, and product knowledge.

Demonstrates the ability to lead, effectively communicate, and champion Guiding Principles, House Rules, and Standard Operating Procedures.

Builds morale and team spirit by fostering a work environment where team members’ input is encouraged and valued.

Ensures each team member has received proper training to perform as a barista or shift supervisor efficiently.

Continually develops team members, establishing specific performance objectives, and measuring performance regularly.

Coaches and counsels team members for improved performance, documenting developmental plans as necessary.

Salary Range $0 - $1,000,000 annually

Key Skills

Proficient on a computer; familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Must be able to work overtime, including weekends, evenings and special events as needed.

Well‑organized, detail‑oriented and able to multi‑task.

Must have effective problem solving/decision making abilities.

Position requires frequent standing and use of hands and arms; must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and frequently bend and twist from the waist.

Must be able to adapt to varying lighting conditions and handle food, hot beverages, and sharp objects safely.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
