Job Summary The Regional Vice President (RVP) will lead, support, and inspire a high‑performing team of senior leaders across Canteen’s operations in California. This strategic role sets the cultural tone for the region, drives operational excellence, and fosters long‑term client partnerships in diverse industries.
The RVP will oversee a portfolio of high‑end pantry, micro‑markets, vending, and office coffee services. Responsibilities include translating national strategy into regional execution, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring financial and service excellence. The scope spans 7 warehouses serving 2,000 accounts, leading a team of 7 direct and 800 indirect associates.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop Regional Directors and District Managers to deliver exceptional service and results
Build and maintain strong client relationships across multiple industries
Drive regional financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L accountability
Serve as the senior escalation point for client needs and strategic decisions
Partner with Sales and Retention teams to grow business and renew contracts
Champion innovation and sustainability aligned with NorCal values
Ensure compliance with company standards, QA, and reporting requirements
Foster a culture of safety, transparency, and continuous improvement
Invest in talent development through coaching, succession planning, and performance management
Monitor market trends and contribute to national strategic planning
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in DSD, supply chain, distribution/logistics, or related industries
Extensive experience leading large, diverse teams across multiple locations
Proven track record of business growth and financial performance
Strong client relationship and contract negotiation skills
Strategic mindset with attention to detail and operational execution
Excellent communication and influencing skills across all organizational levels
Inclusive, professional, and resilient leadership style
Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout California
