A stealth-mode, venture-backed AI startup is laying the groundwork for the next generation of intelligent systems and they’re looking for a founding CTO to lead the charge.
This is a rare 0→1 opportunity to define the technical DNA of a company from day one. You’ll be the most senior engineer on the team, setting the architecture, building foundational systems, and guiding the technical direction as the company moves from concept to real-world deployment.
What You’ll Do
Design and build core backend and distributed infrastructure from scratch
Establish the technical foundation for AI-native products that operate at scale
Make high-leverage architectural decisions in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
Lead by example, writing production-grade code and shipping reliable, secure systems
What You’ll Bring
Software engineering experience, including early-stage startup exposure
Deep expertise in backend and distributed system design
Hands‑on, low‑ego leadership style and be comfortable being both architect and builder
Proven ability to take products from zero to launch and iterate with early users
A bias for action, ownership, and long‑term thinking
Experience collaborating with ML teams to bring intelligent systems into production
