Who We're Looking For: As a key member of the R&D Software team, the Principal Software Engineer - Applications will lead the design, development, and deployment of software systems that power our medical devices. You will utilize the Microsoft stack (C#, .NET, Azure) to create secure, scalable, and high-performance applications. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, regulatory, quality assurance, and clinical teams, ensuring that all software solutions meet regulatory standards for medical devices. You will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to strategic technical decisions. About the Role: Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions for medical systems comprised of Application and Cloud software. Optimize software performance for modularity, data integrity, and scalability, with a focus on security and reliability in the healthcare context. Collaborate closely with product managers, clinicians, and quality assurance teams to translate medical requirements into functional, user-friendly software solutions. Design and implement cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure for data storage, analytics, and device connectivity, ensuring compliance with healthcare data regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR). Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent and 15+ years of experience with a minimum of 10 years in Medical Devices. Solid track record of designing and developing production ready software, knowledge of software implementation best practices and deployment strategies. Deep understanding of medical software development regulations (IEC 62304 specifically). Experience in the following areas: C#/.NET/ SQL/Entity Framework/ADT/WPF/WCF/Unit Testing Visual Studio /MS SQL Server Automation Build, Testing and Deployment Secure Deployed Complex Systems Azure cloud-based development Unit- and integration-level testing and automated testing DevOps practices and tools Preferred Qualifications : Experience in AI/ML integration in healthcare applications. Experience with interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) for healthcare software.
