Job Description The General Manager’s primary responsibility is to deliver an outstanding customer experience while leading and maintaining day‑to‑day operations of the store in compliance with all policies and procedures. The GM plans and implements daily operations to ensure KPIs and insurance metrics are met, coaches the team, promotes professional standards, and drives customer satisfaction.
Key Job Responsibilities
Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget.
Forecast, target, and track monthly sales, profit, and expense objectives.
Deliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly reviews.
Monitor and maintain all accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Maintain a clean, organized repair facility.
Oversee maintenance of shop equipment, including the paint booth.
Provide training for all staff as necessary.
Ensure all staff wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress code.
Open and close the facility daily according to established procedures.
Conduct or coordinate daily production meetings/walks to confirm throughput and delivery dates.
Manage all estimates to ensure labor mix meets established standards and manage store capacity.
Lead and manage repair facility personnel.
Facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings; attend monthly managers meetings.
Attend training, information sessions and workshops recommended by Senior Leadership Team.
Review and follow up on Store CSI performance within 24 hours.
Education and Experience Required
Post-Secondary Education or equivalent.
Proven leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.
Required Skills / Abilities
Attention to detail and high accuracy.
Consistently demonstrate a successful client experience.
Clear communication—both verbal and written.
Ability to motivate others using effective coaching tools and management skills.
