Job Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for leading all administrative, operational, and human resources functions across the organization. This role provides strategic oversight of internal departments, ensures the accuracy and integrity of operational processes, and supports employees, vendors, and customers through efficient and responsive management. The final report is presented to Dielectric Executive Management on the health of the EMS organization. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with strong business acumen, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
General Management
Establish man and machine rates for new year costing.
Maintain operational software systems.
Resolve customer and vendor account discrepancies, by following RMA process.
Manage insurance coverage and documentation for company vehicles.
Maintain current registrations and insurance cards.
Provide leadership and direction to all internal departments.
Serve as ISO Internal Auditor and participate in Management Review.
Prepare and maintain business forms, licenses, and company records.
Support audits and maintain regulatory compliance.
Manage utility and service contracts.
Participate in customer and vendor meetings.
Serve as primary EMS representative.
Review building maintenance needs and vendor proposals.
Vendor Management
Oversee company credit card activity, expenses, and reconciliations.
Provide credit references as needed.
Approve vendor invoices and ensure process accuracy and traceability.
Approve purchase requests outside of material.
Customer Management
Evaluate customer credit limits and approve or deny payment terms.
Manage payment terms.
Monitor Accounts Receivable for delinquency resolution.
Monitor fluctuations in Sales by Customer root cause of declines/inclines.
Communicate with outside Sales regarding customer fluctuations.
Staff Management
Maintain positive environment through edification and honest, yet positive remediation.
Establish profit margin goals for Estimating Team.
Oversee and manage Estimating team with corresponding metrics and reporting.
Lead full‑cycle AP, AR, Purchasing, and Logistics processes.
Support employees with health insurance‑related issues.
Maintain employee beneficiary records.
Ensure accurate employee information and payroll data.
Lead new hire onboarding and general HR functions.
Negotiate compensation packages and maintain job descriptions.
Coordinate staffing needs with agencies.
Submit required new‑hire reporting.
Assist with bonus programs, commission schedules, and compensation reviews.
Approve medical and safety‑related reimbursements.
Oversee required employee training.
Participate in corrective action, remediation, and terminations.
Interview candidates for all roles.
Approve vacation requests and support staffing balance.
Qualifications
7+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, operations, finance, or business administration.
Strong financial literacy, including AP/AR oversight, costing, and credit evaluation.
Experience managing HR functions including hiring, onboarding, and employee relations.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong communication, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and business/ERP systems.
Work Environment Primary office environment with frequent interaction on the manufacturing floor. Exposure to noise, equipment, and temperature variations when on the shop floor. Requires sitting, standing, and light lifting of files, office materials, and documentation.
