Job Summary The Salesforce Cloud Technical Architect is a pre‑sales customer‑facing enterprise domain expert applying broad technical skills, industry knowledge and deep business acumen, supporting sales teams in developing Salesforce value propositions that align to our customers’ business strategies on digital transformation and cloud adoption.
The role involves applying a consultative approach to understand business and technical requirements, determining which Salesforce and third‑party technologies to leverage, and leading key discussions on change programs from both a business and technical perspective.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing specific, repeatable propositions and go‑to‑market strategies for the TMT CMRCL sales teams.
Participating in the delivery of solution best practices, reference architectures and educational sessions to existing customers, partners and internal audiences.
Leading discussions around architecture, integration, security and cloud best practices.
Baseline Requirements
Ability to understand business & IT department requirements and translate into a compelling solution.
Deep knowledge of enterprise software applications and delivery.
Some coding experience and willingness to work with code (Apex, Node, Go, R, Java or C#, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, etc.).
Database and data management fundamentals.
Web and mobile application development and architecture.
Application lifecycle management.
Integration principles and tools.
Enterprise data management tools and methods.
Process orchestration.
Network, application and information security principles.
Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strategic problem solver, thought leadership and comfort communicating with executive audiences.
Excellent time management and ability to support multiple concurrent projects.
Lifelong learner, inquisitive, practical and passionate about technology and sharing knowledge.
Willing and able to travel domestically.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent; graduate study a plus.
Preferred Requirements
Experience as an architect, solution engineer, IT consultant or developer in a customer‑facing role providing differentiated technology solutions.
Experience with hands‑on enterprise software implementation or maintenance.
Understanding of risk mitigation, compliance and security in enterprise software context.
Experience with design thinking, persona‑based discovery or other innovation techniques.
Proven experience in a specific field, vertical or market segment.
Knowledge of the Salesforce platform, certifications and/or Trailhead Superbadges.
Core Skills & Experience
Ability to understand complex business and IT requirements.
Coding & scripting: Apex, Node, Go, R, Java or C#, JavaScript, Python, Ruby.
Data & system fundamentals: database, data management, web and mobile development.
Application & integration: application lifecycle management, process orchestration, enterprise integration principles.
Security: strong grasp of network, application and information security principles.
Agentic AI & Generative AI Desired Skills
Hands‑on experience with agentic AI frameworks, including Agentforce and building autonomous agents.
Prompt engineering & LLMs: designing, refining, and optimizing prompts (chain‑of‑thought, few‑shot, RAG).
Generative AI architecture: integrating LLM solutions, API gateways, model management and data pipelines.
Data360: deep understanding of Salesforce Data360 and Data Cloud for AI integration.
Flow & orchestration: advanced proficiency with Salesforce Flow for AI agent workflows.
Professional & Strategic Competencies
Communication & leadership: strong oral, written, presentation, interpersonal skills; strategic problem‑solving and executive communication.
Project management: excellent time management and multi‑project support.

Benefits & Compensation In the United States, compensation offered will be based on location, job level, knowledge, skills, and experience. The base salary range is $168,420 - $225,260 per year (adjusted for specific locations). Compensation includes salary only; bonuses, equity, and benefits are additional. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, mental health support, paid parental leave, life and disability insurance, 401(k), employee stock purchasing program.
