Principal, Technical Architect – Salesforce
The Principal, Technical Architect role is responsible for leading pre‑sales engagements, defining enterprise solutions, and driving the implementation of Salesforce Cloud and AI technologies across our global customer base.

Baseline Requirements
Ability to understand business & IT department requirements, translate those business needs into a compelling solution, and present recommendations to executive, technical, and business audiences.
Deep knowledge of enterprise software applications and their delivery.
Some coding experience and a willingness to work with code (Apex, Node, Go, R, Java or C#, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, etc.).
Database and data management fundamentals.
Web and mobile application development and architecture.
Application lifecycle management.
Integration principles and tools.
Enterprise data management tools and methods.
Process orchestration.
Principles of network, application, and information security.
Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication and relationship skills.
Strategic problem solver, thought leadership and comfort communicating with executive audiences.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to support multiple, concurrent projects.
Lifelong learner, inquisitive, practical, and passionate about technology and sharing knowledge.
Willing and able to travel domestically.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience (graduate study a plus).
Preferred Requirements
Experience as an architect, solution engineer, IT consultant, or developer in a customer‑facing role providing differentiated software technology solutions.
Hands‑on experience building, implementing, administrating, or maintaining enterprise software.
Understanding of risk mitigation, compliance, and security in enterprise software contexts.
Experience with design thinking, persona‑based discovery, or other innovation techniques.
Proven experience in a specific field, vertical, or market segment (helpful).
Knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including certifications and/or Trailhead Superbadges.
Core Skills & Experience
Strong ability to translate complex business and IT requirements into compelling solutions for executive and technical audiences.
Proficiency in coding & scripting: Apex, Node, Go, R, Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, and other languages.
Solid understanding of database and data management, web and mobile application development, and system architecture.
Expertise in application lifecycle management, process orchestration, and enterprise integration principles and tools.
Comprehensive grasp of network, application, and information security principles.
Agentic AI & Generative AI Desired Skills
The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience designing modern AI‑powered solutions.
Agentic AI & Agentforce: Proficiency with the Salesforce Agent framework and building autonomous agents.
Prompt Engineering & LLMs: Design, refine, and optimize prompts to control generative AI models.
Generative AI Architecture: Experience integrating LLMs into enterprise systems, including API gateways and data pipelines.
Data360: Deep understanding of Salesforce Data360 for unifying, harmonizing, and activating customer data, including Data Cloud for AI and agent‑based applications.
Flow & Orchestration: Advanced proficiency with Salesforce Flow for complex AI‑enabled business processes.
Professional & Strategic Competencies
Communication & Leadership: Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills; strategic problem‑solver and thought leader.
Project Management: Excellent time management and ability to support multiple concurrent projects.

Compensation & Benefits The typical base salary range for this position is $168,420 – $225,260 annually. California, New York, and select metropolitan locations have a base pay range of $185,220 – $247,730 per year. Pay may include company bonuses, equity, and benefits.
