They’re in the midst of a greenfield effort to build a cutting edge, research platform, Python libraries, and supporting infrastructure. This firm has a tight-knit, collaborative, and meritocratic culture, a flat hierarchy, and very little bureaucracy limiting the velocity of development or innovation.
Responsibilities
Design and build cutting edge quantitative research systems, tools, and infrastructure
Design and build Python libraries for researchers
Help define enterprise architecture, set strategic direction for the engineering org, evaluate new technologies, and drive innovation across multiple areas
Mentor junior engineers on coding best practices, architecture, etc.
Skills
Deep expertise with Python
Experience designing, building, and driving complex zero-to-one initiatives from scratch
Nice to have: experience wearing multiple hats on a small team, working directly with quant researchers, designing critical, high profile applications/platforms and their infrastructure, or building Python libraries for other developers
