The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves as the Chamber’s strategic leader, primary advocate, and external representative. This hands‑on role is responsible for shaping the Chamber’s long‑term vision, strengthening its influence in state policy, advancing pro‑business initiatives, and ensuring organizational excellence.
The CEO partners closely with members, community leaders, elected officials, and the Board to promote a competitive business climate and support the success of employers statewide. This individual will steward the Chamber’s financial health, operational performance, and culture while serving as the leading voice for Kansas businesses.
This is one of the most visible and influential business‑leadership roles in the state.
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, public administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
Proven senior‑level leadership experience in a business association, chamber, nonprofit, government, or advocacy organization.
Demonstrated understanding of Kansas business, economic development, and public policy environments.
Exceptional communication, relationship‑building, and coalition‑building skills.
Strong ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders including government officials, business leaders, and community organizations.
Experience managing teams, budgets, and organizational operations.
