You will turn the founder’s ideas, IP, and personality into a scalable media + email funnel that compounds every month. Your success is measured by one simple question: "Are we growing qualified email subscribers, YouTube views/subs, and downstream pipeline every month—profitably?" We are not looking for a social media manager. We are looking for a
channel owner —someone who has actually grown a YouTube ecosystem to meaningful scale and knows how to tie content performance to business outcomes. About the Role
As the
Head of Brand & Channels , you will own the strategy, programming, packaging, experimentation, analytics, and funnel integration for all content. You run a small but high-performing pod (editors, clippers, thumbnail designers, distribution operators). You will partner directly with the founder to translate vision → content → growth → revenue. This is a high-ownership, high-autonomy role. You bring the machine; the founder brings the ideas and approvals. Single Grain ,
Leveling Up , and
Marketing School , you will lead content strategy and execution across various touchpoints. You’ll own the strategy for social channels, virtual events, and the 10k-subscriber Leveling Up AI-marketing focused newsletter. You will collaborate closely with writers, paid media managers, social media managers, and editors to drive content excellence across all platforms. You should be obsessed with content creation, staying ahead of digital trends, and helping push the Single Grain brand forward in the digital marketing space. Responsibilities:
Content Strategy Ownership:
Own and drive the longform content strategy for Single Grain’s 190k subscriber
Leveling Up YouTube Channel
and the
Marketing School Podcast (330k monthly listener podcast) and YouTube channel , as well as the 10k subscriber
Leveling Up newsletter . Ensure the content aligns with brand goals, audience engagement, and company objectives. Own end-to-end content calendar:
Across YouTube long-form, shorts, LinkedIn, X, IG/TikTok, Threads. Packaging (hooks, titles, thumbnails) - write hooks, cold opens, title directions. Direct thumbnail designers with clear emotional/story-based briefs. A/B test thumbnails and headlines and update based on performance. YouTube Team Leadership:
Lead a team of 5 editors, 1 social media manager, and 1 designer to produce driving viewership and e-mail signups. Analyze performance data and iterate consistently for maximum growth. Hold weekly syncs with team to direct, unblock, and optimize. YouTube Strategy & Execution:
Create the strategy behind the Leveling Up longform content, including creating video concepts, drafting scripts, concepting thumbnail designs for designers to execute on, and booking studio time for Eric to record content. Webinar Development & Execution:
Lead the creation of webinar topics, manage logistics, and collaborate with internal teams on email follow-ups. You’ll ensure that all webinars run smoothly, from the initial setup to post-event analysis. Newsletter Management:
Own the content topics behind the Leveling Up newsletter, focusing on providing writers with the best possible AI-focused marketing topics that resonates with the 10k-subscriber base to drive conversions for the company. Curate content, track performance, and optimize engagement. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
Work closely with writers, social media managers, editors, and paid media managers to ensure timely and seamless content delivery across all platforms. Trendspotting & Innovation:
Stay up to date with industry trends, platform updates, and new content formats. Propose and implement innovative content strategies to keep Single Grain ahead of the curve. Performance Tracking & Optimization:
Analyze content performance metrics across channels and continuously optimize the strategy to improve engagement, reach, and overall performance. Own KPIs such as MoM growth in YT views, subs, watch time // qualified email subscribers from content // clicks to newsletter // CTR an d retention curves and produce weekly performance report on what shipped, what worked, what didn’t, what's changing. Funnel & E-mail integration
- ensure our videos drive viewers to our newsletters/waitlists/lead magnets and collaborate with email writer to align on topics and turning strong content into email sequences. Build systems, SOPs & AI leverage to increase efficiencies. What Success Looks Like (KPIs)
