Salary Range: $54,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Allendale seeking HR Generalists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing and operational roles, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations issues.
  • Administer HR programs such as performance management, compensation, benefits, and leave management for the manufacturing workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws, company policies, and support HR audits relevant to the manufacturing environment.
  • Oversee workers' compensation claims, safety initiatives, and return-to-work programs, collaborating with production management.
  • Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation, emphasizing safety protocols and company culture for production employees.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and manage the HRIS system for all manufacturing personnel.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, specifically within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA-HR aspects) and their application in a manufacturing setting
  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment for a variety of manufacturing roles, including production, skilled trades, and supervisory positions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution effectively
  • Understanding of safety protocols and the HR role in promoting a strong safety culture and workers' compensation administration

Bonus Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish), particularly useful for a diverse workforce.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with specific timekeeping or HRIS systems prevalent in manufacturing environments (e.g., Kronos, SAP HR).
  • OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification, or strong understanding of workplace safety regulations.
