Project Coordinator at AEC Resources, Inc. Brand new opportunity for a Structural Engineer ready to take on design challenges in the industrial sector. This is your opportunity to design solutions that support infrastructure that moves people, energy, and industry forward.
This hybrid role gives you flexibility to balance field work, design collaboration, and independent problem-solving.
What You’ll Do
Prepare and review calculations, drawings, and specifications for structural systems involving steel, concrete, and other materials across industrial and energy projects.
Oversee teams of engineers, designers, and technicians, fostering excellence and efficiency.
Collaborate across disciplines. Work closely with architects, contractors, and project stakeholders to bring clear, innovative designs to life.
Develop proposals, track budgets and schedules, and forecast workloads to ensure projects are delivered profitably and on time.
Conduct field reviews, construction site visits, and respond to RFIs and submittals to confirm designs perform as intended.
Contribute to business development by applying technical expertise to win new work and deepen client relationships.
Prepare written technical reports and present your findings to clients and internal teams.
What You Bring
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET‑accredited).
Experience: Minimum of 6 years in structural design, including significant work with concrete and steel structures.
Credentials: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain licensure (EIT).
Tools & Skills: Proficiency with Revit and/or AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Mathcad, and structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
Knowledge of Codes: Strong understanding of industry standards and building codes.
Field Readiness: Ability to climb ladders, access confined spaces, and perform outdoor site evaluations in varying conditions.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Experience in energy, pipeline, mining, pulp and paper, or heavy industrial projects is a plus.
