Clinical Staff Pharmacist, Acute Care, Variable Shifts, PRN

Job Duties
Perform comprehensive medication review and therapeutic monitoring for inpatient patients.
Enter and update medication orders accurately using the pharmacy computer system.
Communicate drug information and patient education to physicians, nurses, and families.
Enforce formulary system, manage inventory, and participate in cost‑effective medication selection.
Audit and monitor controlled substances to comply with state and federal regulations.
Collaborate in clinical programs, support P&T initiatives, and participate in data collection for quality improvement.
Lead and delegate tasks to technicians and support personnel, ensuring medication distribution accuracy.
Support orientation, training, and additional projects as needed to advance patient safety and satisfaction.
Experience and Education
Education: BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an ACPE‑accredited school.
Experience: 1 year in an inpatient hospital setting required.
Licenses: Texas State Board of Pharmacy license upon hire and within 30 days of hire.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ST‑IV (Sterile Compounding), and (optional) Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 180 days.
Preferred Qualifications
Retail pharmacy experience for retail position.
