About the Position The Supply Chain Manager - Controls (BMS, EMS, SCADA, PLC, Networking) is responsible for planning, sourcing, purchasing, logistics, and supplier management across assigned categories with a focus on software‑driven hardware components that control energy storage system function to ensure on‑time, cost‑effective, and high‑quality material and service delivery and includes medium‑voltage and high‑voltage transformers, switchgear, protection equipment, and grid‑interconnection hardware. This role partners closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Quality to align supply chain strategy with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities Category‑Specific Responsibilities
Source hardware/software for BMS, EMS, SCADA, PLCs, communication hardware, sensors, and control panels.
Manage cybersecurity documentation, firmware revision control, and compliance requirements.
Work with Engineering on interface requirements and control logic compatibility.
Negotiate service‑level agreements for software support and updates.
Evaluate integration partners for panel assembly or system commissioning.
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned material or service categories.
Lead supplier selection, qualification, RFQs, negotiations, and contracting activities.
Manage contracts, commercial terms, delivery schedules, and pricing agreements.
Drive cost reduction through competitive sourcing, multi‑sourcing, and TCO analysis.
Supplier Relationship Management
Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Conduct supplier performance reviews related to quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
Lead corrective action processes, risk mitigation planning, and supplier development initiatives.
Planning & Inventory Management
Collaborate with planning teams to forecast demand and establish inventory strategies.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels, safety stock, and long‑lead procurement plans.
Monitor material availability, lead times, and production impact risks.
Logistics & Fulfillment
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, and delivery schedules.
Optimize transportation, freight, and storage costs.
Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work with Engineering on specifications, change management, and material qualifications.
Partner with Operations to support production readiness and project delivery.
Align with Finance on budgeting, spend analysis, and cost reporting.
Support Quality in NCR management and supplier audits.
Continuous Improvement & Risk Management
Analyze market trends and supply risks across assigned categories.
Implement process improvements to streamline procurement and reduce waste.
Build contingency plans for supply disruptions, quality issues, or price volatility.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
5–10 years of supply chain or procurement experience; experience with industrial, electrical, or energy‑sector components preferred.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract‑management skills.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, forecasting tools, and supply chain analytics.
Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
