Lead Systems Engineer (Digital System Architect)

The Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) Organization is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to serve as the Digital System Model Architect for the E‑7A program. This critical role will leverage expertise in Digital System Model integration, organization, and execution, while applying strategic thinking to deliver products to our customers.
Position Responsibilities
Ensure engineering integrity, first‑time quality, and efficient execution of activities through use of the digital system model.
Work closely with all Integrated Product Teams to drive the use of the digital system model.
Own and manage execution of the Statement of Work for the USAF E‑7A program, including CDRL deliverables and prescribed process‑oriented functions.
Actively partner with program leadership to ensure objectives are accomplished.
Apply demonstrable skills in digital system model architecture and lead cross‑disciplinary teams.
Advocate for model‑based engineering, educate program leadership on model integration requirements, and support application of models across Boeing programs.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
5+ years of experience with systems engineering processes and tools.
3+ years of experience creating MBSE systems models in Cameo, Magic Systems of Systems Architect (MSOSA), or similar software.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
Previous experience implementing model‑based approaches on engineering projects/programs, ensuring seamless integration within the receiving architecture and digital engineering platform.
Experience with model‑derived ConOps requirements development, interface control documentation, technical specification review, and architecture development.
Experience integrating multiple stakeholders with unique objectives into a common integrated digital environment.
Experience engineering large‑scale systems and overall systems engineering disciplines.
Experience in military aircraft modification programs.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of management, customers, and partners.
Ability to build a safe environment of inclusion, transparency, and trust.
Experience leading, mentoring, and engaging individuals and teams and providing active mentorship and career guidance.
