Electrical Superintendent in Nashville, TN
Responsibilities
Plan and oversee electrical installations for commercial construction projects.
Interpret and execute electrical blueprints and specifications accurately.
Coordinate and supervise electrical crews, ensuring productivity and quality standards.
Install electrical systems and components, including switches, panels, fire alarms, plugs, and lighting.
Pull, route, and terminate electrical wiring throughout job sites.
Bend and install conduit, primarily EMT; experience with rigid conduit is a plus.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems to maintain functionality and safety.
Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards at all times.
Manage project timelines and material requirements, ensuring jobs stay on schedule and within budget.
Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and clients to resolve issues and provide updates.
Train and mentor apprentices and electricians, promoting skill development and adherence to best practices.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, inspections, and safety checks.
Requirements
4+ years of commercial electrical experience .
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficiency in bending and installing EMT conduit.
Strong knowledge of
National Electrical Code (NEC)
and electrical theory.
Journeyman certification preferred (not required).
Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
Journeyman card.
CPR and First Aid training.
OSHA 10 certification (available during orientation if not already obtained).
Strong troubleshooting skills.
