Description Senior Product Manager, Audio/Video Solutions

As a Senior Collaboration Product Manager within the video conferencing space, you will help lead the tactical direction and execution of HP | Poly's award-winning product offerings. You will be a lead stakeholder throughout the delivery stages of product lifecycle, serving as a central resource across multiple organizations including engineering, operations, quality, support, services, marketing, finance, and sales organizations. Responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of products that translate end user requirements into innovative market leading products and customer success stories. As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead several projects or a portfolio of projects ensuring product success at every phase of the product lifecycle from development, production, go to market, and end of life strategies. By collaborating with internal teams and customers, you will shape the future of communication technology and advance our market leadership.

Candidates would lead large, cross-division functional teams and projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives. These projects typically follow high complexity and low volume. Familiarity with CM, JDM and ODM development models is highly desired. Candidates would have a very strong delivery product management background within HP with 3-5 years’ experience in this discipline. Ability to provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops higher level strategies and sets functional policy and direction for team related to delivery processes and procedures to ensure supply chain resiliency, time to market, financial goals of the product and improving delivery metrics.

Responsibilities

Plays a leadership role and drives the progress of the product management function.

Leads cross-functional teams through agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Monitors competitive market to determine client needs for certain product improvements and completes detailed competitive analyses.

Uses strong business acumen to assess new features / product requirements viability.

Strategically partners with key senior stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.

Recommends product requirements and definitions to align with stakeholder's needs.

Collaborates with the software engineering team on feature ideas and prototypes to bring potential solutions to life.

Advises key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle.

Tracks and reports key metrics to drive future product developments.

Collaborates with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, product launch plans, and marketing collateral.

Demonstrates process improvement and project management experience, preferably with the implementation of large projects.

Education & Experience Required

Four-year College Degree in Operations Mgmt, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or any other related discipline (Graduate-level degree preferred).

Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in product management, hardware and/or software product development, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications

Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner Certification, or any other related certifications.

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

The base pay range for this role is $146,650 to $225,850 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
