The University of Notre Dame seeks a collaborative, strategic, and values-driven Accessibility Program Director. In this highly visible role, you will lead institution-wide efforts to advance accessibility, equity, and compliance for faculty, staff, and students, helping ensure that access is not an accommodation afterthought, but a foundational part of how Notre Dame operates. Reporting to the Director of Youth Protection, HR, and Equity Compliance, you will oversee the interactive process for employee accommodations, guide campus partners through complex ADA and Section 504 considerations, and coordinate accessibility initiatives that span physical spaces, digital environments, policies, and practices. You will also provide oversight of the University’s Student Accessibility Grievance Procedure, ensuring concerns are addressed promptly, fairly, and with care. This role blends technical expertise, relationship-building, and strategic leadership, offering the opportunity to influence institutional culture and decision-making at one of the nation’s leading universities.

What You’ll Do

Serve as Deputy ADA Coordinator, leading the faculty and staff accommodation process from intake through resolution

Advise employees, supervisors, HR partners, deans, and senior leaders on ADA compliance and inclusive practices

Develop and deliver training on workplace accessibility, disability inclusion, and supervisory responsibilities

Analyze trends in accommodation and grievance data to identify systemic opportunities for improvement

Coordinate campus-wide accessibility initiatives across academic, administrative, facilities, and technology partners

Contribute to accessibility policy development and long-term planning efforts

Oversee the Student Accessibility Grievance Procedure in collaboration with campus stakeholders

Promote accessibility as an expression of Notre Dame’s Catholic mission and commitment to human dignity

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in public administration, disability studies, higher education administration, human resources, business administration, law, or related field.

Three years of progressively responsible experience in disability compliance, ADA/504 coordination, accommodation management, or related civil rights work.

Experience managing ADA workplace accommodations or grievance processes.

Strong working knowledge of ADA Title I, Section 504, and related regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

J.D. or Master’s degree in a related field.

Experience in higher education or a decentralized environment.

Knowledge of digital accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and accessible technology procurement.

Familiarity with architectural accessibility, campus planning processes, and universal design.

Hiring Pay Range $70,000 - $75,000 | Commensurate with experience
