Overview

The Corporate Project Engineer II will manage a series of capital projects varying in size and complexity. The individual is expected to gather requirements and develop preliminary project solutions, prepare cost estimations, evaluate project performance, and justify the business case for assigned projects. The role involves collaborating with external engineering partners and internal Operations customers to provide solutions, select equipment, evaluate designs, and develop budgets. The engineer will work cross‑functionally to identify all project aspects, evaluate risk, highlight mitigation measures, and coordinate closely with Operations. This is an individual‑contributor role that requires demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and decision‑making ability. Detailed Roles & Responsibilities

Develop Scopes of Work (SOWs) for project engineering, execution, and equipment installation. Collaborate with Procurement to recommend qualified contractors, conduct pre‑bid walkthroughs, review proposals, and award contracts. Work closely with Procurement and Operations team to comply with Corporate Standards. Lead HazOp and HACCP studies. Oversee installation of approved projects under Project Manager supervision. Establish project team, facilitate meetings, and document team activities. Ensure contractors work in accordance with all safety requirements; monitor workmanship; authorize payments. Ensure project installation adheres to design and manage cost and schedule. Provide spend projections using Anaplan. Develop designs for field‑detailed items and implement required design changes. Communicate and resolve problems in a timely manner. Plan and lead commissioning efforts, including supporting resources. Ensure Stores has the appropriate spare parts on‑hand before commissioning and hand‑over. Plan and lead training efforts, including supporting resources. Support post‑project completion audit. Support development of long‑term CapEx project pipeline. Work Experiences

Minimum of 5 years as a Project Engineer or equivalent in a manufacturing environment. Industry experience in Food Production, Food & Beverage, or CPG is a plus. Skilled in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to read and edit CAD drawings. Intermediate proficiency with MS Project or similar software. Solid verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prepare and read PFDs and P&IDs. Industrial food processing experience is a plus. Experience with GMP practices and sanitary design is a plus. Experience with OSHA or regional HSE regulations is preferred. Exposure to HAACP audits is preferred. Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or Chemical) from an accredited university. Essential Capabilities (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Attributes)
