This role is designed for an attorney who is ready to operate with
autonomy, authority, and long-term perspective —not simply to manage files, but to help shape matters, client relationships, and the future of the practice.
The Role
Assumes full responsibility for complex maritime plaintiff’s litigation matters, serving as senior associate or partner and primary client advisor from intake through resolution.
Applies seasoned judgment and deep practical expertise in federal and state civil procedure to develop and execute case strategy.
Operates effectively in high-stakes, fast-moving environments, balancing urgent deadlines and competing priorities with precision, discretion, and professionalism.
Serves as lead advocate in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations, representing clients and the firm with credibility and authority.
Produces and oversees all substantive written work product ensuring excellence, consistency, and strategic alignment.
Guides and develops legal staff, setting expectations for quality, accountability, and client service while contributing to firm efficiency and performance.
Participates in the stewardship of high-value cases, including settlement strategy and negotiations, case valuation, and client outcomes.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in complex maritime litigation, on either the plaintiff or defense side.
Member of the Florida Bar, or eligible for admission upon next examination.
Demonstrated experience handling significant personal injury claims and high-value settlements strongly preferred.
