Responsibilities

Responsible for creating CAD parts and assemblies based on requirements from internal and external customers. Key duties include generating detailed drawings and collaborating with the coworkers to ensure high‑quality designs.

Applies technical knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve assigned engineering problems.

Develops appropriate documentation of findings and implemented solutions. May be required to make brief technical presentations.

Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Qualifications

Typically requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and two or more years of engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.

Must be experienced in conceptual and detailed design of mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools. Fluency in CATIA is a must; proficiency in Creo and/or SolidWorks is highly desirable.

Must have a strong understanding of basic engineering analysis concepts, including Free Body Diagrams (FBDs), stress analysis, thermal analysis, and material selection, to support the design and evaluation of mechanical structures and components.

Must have a solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Familiarity with Model‑Based Definition (MBD) is a plus.

Must have a general understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory with technical experience demonstrating the application of those concepts while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment and organize work assignments to meet established timetables.

Good communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Must be able to obtain security clearance.

Must be able to work extended hours as required in support of mission‑critical projects.
