About the Neurology Practice The Spine and Orthopedic Center includes a dedicated Neurology Practice that focuses on the evaluation and treatment of neurological conditions, including injury related trauma, primarily traumatic brain injury (TBI) and neurological spine injury.

The neurology practice functions within a multidisciplinary medical environment while remaining distinctly neurology-driven in scope and clinical decision-making. Care is centered on comprehensive neurological assessment, diagnosis, and longitudinal management of patients with post-traumatic neurological conditions, and includes interventional spine treatments such as epidurals for spine related pain.

Common patient populations include individuals with concussion and post-concussive syndrome, cognitive and neurological sequelae of head trauma, and neurologic symptoms related to spinal injury.

Role Overview This position is for a Neurology-focused Physician Assistant who will work exclusively within the neurology practice. The PA will manage patients with trauma-related neurological conditions and participate in ongoing neurological care under physician supervision.

Responsibilities

Perform neurological evaluations for new and established patients with traumatic brain and neurologic spine injuries

Conduct detailed neurologic exams and monitor symptom progression over time

Diagnose and manage post-concussive and trauma-related neurological conditions

Medication management, including prescribing, refills, and monitoring for effectiveness and adverse effects

Provide and manage Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments when clinically indicated

Assist with peripheral nerve blocks for headaches, Botox injections for headaches, dystonia and spasticity, and trigger point injections for headaches and spine pain

Monitor patient response to neurological therapies and adjust treatment plans accordingly

Coordinate referrals related to neurological care when appropriate

Document all patient care accurately and compliantly across insurance types

Preferred Skills & Requirements

Licensed as a Physician Assistant by the Medical Board of California and the Physician Assistant Examining Committee (or pending licensure)

Board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (or pending certification)

BLS and ACLS certification

Strong interest or experience in neurology, particularly trauma-related neurology

Experience with TBI, concussion management, or neurological spine injury preferred

New graduates with a demonstrated neurology interest are encouraged to apply

Compensation

$160,000/year , plus profitability-based bonus structure
