Accounting - Accounts Payable Specialist

Base pay range $25.00/hr - $29.00/hr
Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Bethesda, MD. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role supports the accounting team by managing day-to-day AP functions and assisting with month-end close activities.
Key Responsibilities
Process and code vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents (as applicable).
Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments.
Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger.
Resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies.
Assist with month-end close and audit support.
Qualifications
High School diploma/GED or Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
1-3+ years of accounts payable experience.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Excel; Experience with accounting/ERP systems a plus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
