Report to the VP, Business Development & Marketing and direct all aspects of business development, fundraising and revenue diversification.
Develop and implement corporate relationship strategies including prospect development, social media, one‑on‑one solicitations, special events, annual meeting exhibits & sponsorships and other initiatives.
Establish and maintain excellent relations with corporate partners; conduct in‑person meetings and attend related society meetings.
Proactively identify and explore new corporate initiatives, benefits, dues review and program development.
Oversee the content on the Corporate Relations section of the ASTRO website and ensure it is up to date and relevant.
Direct the planning and execution of ASTRO’s Annual Meeting support/advertising program.
Supervise the overall efforts of the Corporate Advisory Council and manage all communications and logistics.
Oversee all development efforts including grant submissions for corporate fundraising to support ASTRO’s various programs and meetings.
Manage department budget and keep abreast of business development, sales and fundraising trends.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or above.
Fundraising experience: 10+ years of progressively responsible experience, preferably within a medical specialty society or association.
Knowledge of fundraising principles, practices and techniques.
Previous experience with online grant submission processes.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; superior interpersonal skills.
Experience working with volunteer leadership and diverse audiences.
Demonstrated success in soliciting and closing multiple 6‑ and 7‑figure gifts from individuals, foundations and corporations.
Project/program management and event planning expertise.
Familiarity with volunteer association governance and committee work.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite and association management system or similar database software.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Working conditions: General office; some travel required (approximately 10‑15% of the time). ASTRO offers a hybrid work environment (telework up to 3x/week after an initial training period).
