Regional Director of Operations – Southern California
Lead the Southern California Region for Transdev by providing strategic direction, supporting all locations, and driving excellence across the region.
Compensation
Base salary: $180,000 – $220,000
Annual bonus: up to 25%

Key Responsibilities
Drive safety management practices, ensuring compliance with federal and state safety standards.
Lead operations management and client relations, including operational planning, performance, P&L management, and client communication.
Promote Transdev’s purpose and culture, supporting employee recruiting and retention to become an employer of choice.
Resolve operational problems with accountability, delegation, and decisive action.
Oversee employee relations issues, motivate staff, and coordinate efforts to achieve corporate goals.
Manage labor relations issues, including arbitrations, final step grievance hearings, and collective bargaining agreements.
Conduct facility evaluations and recommend improvements or alternative locations as needed.
Maintain a high level of visibility in all respects, interacting with clients, community organizations, and government agencies.
Maintain accurate compliance records, personnel files, and internal reporting.
Collaborate with regional support teams and the senior vice president to direct resources for optimal regional and location‑specific performance.
Requirements
5+ years of operations management experience, preferably in transportation, logistics, or public transit.
Prior experience managing multiple locations with unique business plans.
Strong leadership skills, including analysis, problem‑solving, negotiating, and decision‑making.
Demonstrated knowledge of safety management strategies and relevant federal/state safety regulations.
Proficient Excel skills and familiarity with all Microsoft Office products.
Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
Undergraduate degree or 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
Position based in Southern California; relocation assistance available.
Physical Requirements
Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions; 100% of the job performed outside, work alone, and in remote locations.
Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk long distances and on uneven surfaces.
Push and pull objects up to 20 pounds; lift material up to 50 lbs with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to pick items from the ground.
Withstand heavy traffic areas, dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
