Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant for a full-time position based in San Diego, CA. This is a hybrid role, combining the flexibility of working from home with days in the office as necessary. The Project Accountant will manage financial aspects of development projects, handle budgeting and cost tracking, process invoices, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. This role also involves collaborating with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate financial forecasting and reporting.
Qualifications
Proficiency in project accounting, budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis
Experience with financial reporting and compliance requirements
Knowledge of accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial systems
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication and collaborative skills for cross-departmental interactions
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience in real estate, construction, or urban development accounting is a plus
CPA certification or equivalent qualification is an advantage
