ranges from
$275,000 to $302,000
annually, including a
14.2% employer contribution to your 401(k) . We will offer a
$30,000 moving stipend/sign on bonus
to make relocation effortless. Paid Time Off details— 7.6 weeks or 38 days , including vacation, personal leave days, CME time and paid holidays. In addition to this, you’ll accrue
twelve sick days annually (96 hours) , earned monthly to support your well-being throughout the year. For any work beyond your clinical commitment, you’ll earn an
impressive $145 per hour . And all of this comes with the added bonus of living and working in beautiful Utah!
Responsibilities Performs preoperative evaluation by assessing staff notes, progress notes, lab work, and patient histories to determine the most appropriate anesthetic management. The CRNA may order additional analyses, consultations, lab work, and peri‑anesthetic medications as warranted. Monitors functioning of all equipment and induces general and/or regional anesthesia by using anesthesia procedures and methods. Manages the anesthetic procedure by monitoring appropriate physical, physiochemical, and biochemical indicators such as blood pressure, heart rate, EKG, blood loss, patient position, pulmonary compliance, arterial blood bases, etc. Adjusts anesthesia procedures as required; informs other medical personnel of all necessary developments. Oversees recovery from anesthesia by observing the appropriate indicators in surgery as well as the post‑anesthesia recovery room; performs post‑operative evaluation. Makes appropriate entries in staff notes, on anesthesia records, and in the patients’ charts.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Nearly Continuously: Office environment.
Often: Hazardous exposures such as oils, moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and high places.
Physical Requirements: Nearly Continuously: Hearing, listening, talking, walking. Often: Repetitive hand motion, standing.
Minimum Qualifications Certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA); current registered nurse licensure in the state of Utah; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required. The CRNA certification is granted after successful completion of an AANA approved curriculum of coursework; 24 months of concurrent practicum experience or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education); and passing scores on a national exam administered by AANA. Bi‑annual rectification is contingent on continuing professional practice plus 40 hours of continuing education units. This position is patient‑sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. Immunization according to CDC standards is required for all patient‑sensitive employees, with limited exemptions for medical contraindications or religious beliefs that object to vaccinations.
Preferences Experience working in settings with students and patients from all backgrounds is preferred. Commitment to improving access to higher education and quality healthcare for historically underrepresented students and patients is strongly valued.
