Office Assistant (Work-Study)
Greets and assists visitors in person or over the telephone. Provides general office support.
Responsibilities include:
- Front desk answer phones, greet/direct guests, answer quick questions
- Checking in/out department P-Cards
- Sorting/distributing mail and packages
- Posting flyers
- Seminar/event support (setup and cleanup)
- Print and scan documents
- Room reservations (Astra), key management for meeting rooms
- Manage office supply inventory/needs
- Social media/web support
Work Environment and Level of Frequency typically required:
Nearly Continuously: Office environment.
Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required:
Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking. Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking. Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. One year full-time customer service experience or equivalency, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
