Amazon EFS Product Management – Senior Product Manager
Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS) is a fully managed, cloud-native file storage service that delivers scalable, elastic, high-performance, secure, and cost‑effective shared file storage. The EFS product team works across the cloud, the internet, and academia to build the future of file storage. The senior product manager will own end‑to‑end product strategy, roadmap, and execution for the EFS portfolio in a high‑visibility, high‑impact role.
Key Responsibilities
Own and drive product management across the Amazon EFS portfolio, including performance modes, throughput modes, storage classes, lifecycle management, and integration with other AWS services.
Define the roadmap for new products and features at the intersection of file storage and cloud technologies (e.g., NFS protocol enhancements, performance optimization, data durability, replication, encryption, intelligent tiering).
Work closely with engineering, data science, sales, and operations to prioritize features, set pricing, and launch to market.
Identify and deliver operational improvements and cost reductions across the product and service lifecycle.
Serve as an executive‑level product leader, interacting with AWS leadership and driving customer‑centric product decisions.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of technical product management with internet business experience.
5+ years of technical development experience (software, networking, or IT).
7+ years of full product life‑cycle experience.
5+ years of P&L management and pricing experience.
Proven ability to take a product from conception through market launch.
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative/technical field (e.g., computer science, engineering, statistics).
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of software engineering practices, coding standards, and agile delivery.
Experience delivering large‑scale SaaS/PaaS/Laas products.
Deep understanding of file‑storage workloads, protocols (NFS, SMB), and cloud‑storage architectures.
Experience with performance optimization, caching, and tiered storage for file systems.

Compensation
Base pay ranges from $137,000 per year in our lowest geographic market to $236,800 per year in our highest geographic market. Total compensation includes equity, sign‑on payments, and a full range of benefits. This position will remain posted until filled.
