The Opportunity The Director, Analytics — CGM will build and lead the end‑to‑end analytics function for the Abbott Diabetes Care business, transforming complex data into actionable, predictive insights that drive strategy and execution across HCP, Marketing, Market Access, Government and Health Systems channels. The leader will define the vision, standards and governance for predictive analytics; lead and develop a high‑performing team of analysts and data scientists; and craft compelling, insight‑driven narratives for senior leadership—up to and including the CEO—to influence strategic decisions and business outcomes.

What You’ll Work On Analytics Strategy & Execution

Design, implement and mature analytics function, turning raw data into insights that improve commercial performance and margin across all channels.

Drive business impact by developing predictive models that uncover performance drivers, diagnose variance from expected outcomes and deliver actionable solutions—enhancing adoption, adherence, campaign effectiveness, payer access and health‑system performance in collaboration with channel partners.

Partner with CGM business leaders to prioritise a portfolio of analytics programmes; define objectives, milestones, resourcing, dependencies and risk mitigations; and report progress toward plan.

Continuously scan and integrate industry methodologies and tools to strengthen analytics capabilities and support digital transformation.

Executive storytelling & change influence: synthesize complex analytics into simple, executive‑ready narratives with clear options, implications and actions; regularly present to the executive leadership team and CEO.

Communicate and manage change across functions; champion a high‑performing, accountable and innovative culture.

People Leadership (5 FTEs)

Set expectations, coach and develop a diverse team (data science and analysts) and hold managers accountable for delivery; drive succession planning and talent reviews.

Promote innovation and calculated risk‑taking; reward those who challenge the status quo to accelerate results.

Qualifications Education

Master’s degree preferred (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Physics, Engineering or similar).

Experience

15+ years overall experience; life sciences or healthcare experience preferred.

Proven leadership across analytics, data science, deep expertise in data visualization, predictive modelling, machine learning and advanced analytics.

Extensive experience in developing strategic plans and managing complex programmes.

Exceptional communication and influence skills; executive presence to present to C‑suite/CEO.

Predictive model accuracy and business lift

Time‑to‑insight and adoption rates for dashboards, models and decision support tools.

Data quality, governance audit scores and compliance adherence.

Talent outcomes: engagement, retention, succession coverage and skill progression.

Operating Model & Logistics

Direct reports: 5 (incl. 1 Data Scientist; mix of analysts/managers).

Matrix partners: Commercial Operations, Marketing, Market Access, Government Affairs, Health Systems/IDNs, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, IT/Data Platforms.

Vendors: manage analytics and data platform vendors; negotiate SOWs and performance SLAs.

APPLY NOW Base pay for this position is $169,300.00 – $338,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
