We are offering two-four sessions per week in a friendly and supportive work environment. With a list size of 6,500 patients we are able to provide good continuity of care. Our medium sized Practice allows a speedy communication amongst the team. We are located in a nice, leafy North Kingston with an easy access to Kingston town centre, river Thames and Richmond Park. We offer efficient administrative and secretarial support. Main duties of the job

In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care. About us

St Albans MedicalCentre is a well-established GP Surgery which had previously seen little changein partnership in 30 years. Three new partners started in April 2025, having been established salaried colleaguespreviously. Our dedicated teamof staff consists of six GPs, a nurse prescriber, two other practice nurses,two health care assistants and nine administrative members, including thepractice manager, as well as a hospital dietician. We also provide servicesthrough PCN employed staff: a pharmacist, a pharmacy technician, twophysiotherapists, a well-being coach, a care-coordinator, a dietician, a socialprescriber. Job responsibilities

Thepost-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needsin a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for allregistered and temporary patients. ClinicalResponsibilities: In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, thepost-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of dutiesincluding surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, checkingand signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork andcorrespondence in a timely fashion. Makingprofessional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems. Screeningpatients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness In consultationwith patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols. Recording clearand contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards Compiling andissuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions Prescribing inaccordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (or generically) wheneverthis is clinically appropriate. Qualifications

Fully qualified GP with active GMC registration Experience

Experienced and newly qualified applicants Disclosure and Barring Service Check
