Open Positions: Shipwrights (Carpenters):
Build and maintain heavy industrial wood structures, scaffolding, staging, and temporary platforms. Shipfitters:
Precision cutting, sizing, measuring, layout, fabrication, and installation of ship structures. Submarine experience NOT required. Welders:
Perform structural welding (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW) on deck structures, support braces, foundations, and more. Firewatch duties included. Electricians:
2+ years submarine experience preferred; fiber optic license a plus. Work includes power systems, electrical maintenance, IT wiring/cabling, troubleshooting, and installation. Abrasive Blasters:
Execute large and small-scale abrasive blast removal and surface prep on ships/submarines. SSPC C7/C12 certification preferred. Marine Painters:
Prep and paint ship interiors/exteriors. Must be comfortable with power/hand tools and respirator use. Pipefitters:
Fabricate, install, modify, and repair piping/hoses. Includes layout, assembly, and system testing. UT Inspectors:
Level II/III UT certification required. Conduct non-destructive ultrasonic testing and inspection on ship components.
Requirements: Active Secret Clearance 2+ years of experience at a shipyard (naval or commercial) Ability to pass background check & drug test
Pay Range:
$30-$43/hour, based on experience and skillset. Relocation & Per Diem available for eligible candidates.
