Director or Managing Director
who thrives in a
fastpaced, dealdriven environment . This is a role for a true
hunter , not a caretaker: someone who knows how to open doors, win mandates, and aggressively grow wallet share across equity and equitylinked products. Key Responsibilities
Origination - The Core of the Role
Own the front end of the funnel: aggressively originate IPOs, followons, blocks, converts, and private equity placements. Leverage and expand a personal network of CEOs, CFOs, sponsors, and founders to generate actionable deal flow. Drive idea generation at a high volume-market themes, financing strategies, capital structure insights, M&A adjacencies, and competitive positioning. Lead pitches with a clear mandate: win mandates and increase the platform's visibility in target sectors.
Client Acquisition & Growth
Take an offensive approach to client coverage-proactive outreach, consistent engagement, and rapid followup. Position the platform as a strategic thought partner with differentiated execution capabilities. Engage senior leadership at client organizations with conviction and strong market views.
Execution Leadership
Partner closely with syndicate and execution teams to ensure deals move quickly and flawlessly. Provide decisive guidance on market timing, investor appetite, and deal sizing. Maintain a strong point of view on pricing and distribution strategy.
Platform Building & Team Leadership
Help scale the ECM franchise as the firm continues its accelerated growth trajectory. Mentor and motivate junior bankers to support a true origination culture. Bring an entrepreneurial mindset-challenge internal norms, push for speed, and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
10+ years of ECM experience with a
clear origination track record . Proven ability to personally generate revenue and win competitive mandates. Strong client network with the credibility to command Csuite attention. Highly commercial, energetic, and comfortable working within a highexpectation culture. Strong analytical foundation, but equally strong communication and sales instincts. Advanced degree (MBA, JD, etc.) preferred but not required.
