Were partnering with a fast-growing, international consumer goods company in the food & beverage space thats hiring an accounting leader to lead U.S. accounting operations. This role will serve as a key member of the U.S. finance leadership team and report directly to the Head of Finance & Accounting, USA.

About the Role The Director of Accounting will oversee all U.S. accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting. This individual will balance strategic leadership with day-to-day ownership across general ledger, close, inventory, deductions, tax, and systems, while supporting continued growth and international integration.
Key Responsibilities
Lead U.S. accounting operations, including GL, AR/AP, deductions, inventory accounting, and tax compliance Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close in accordance with U.S. GAAP and group reporting standards Oversee group consolidation, financial statements, audits, and statutory reporting for the U.S. business Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures Partner with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain on trade spend, inventory reconciliation, and cost control Oversee and optimize accounting systems and tools, including ERP and trade promotion management platforms Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, driving accountability and continuous improvement Support process improvement, automation, and scalability initiatives tied to growth and international alignment
What Were Looking For
CPA required with strong technical accounting expertise Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Public accounting foundation (Top 10 firm preferred) Experience in fast-growth, international consumer goods or beverage environments Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP; IFRS exposure a plus Experience working with major retailers and managing deductions and trade spend Hands-on leader who can operate at both strategic and operational levels
